Exceleration Shines at Vancouver Sun Run 2025with Fastest Youth Team Title, Aims for Bigger Impact in 2026 with Increased Participation and Volunteer Support
Vancouver, BC – May 13, 2025 – Exceleration, a leader in youth sports development and community engagement, celebrated a remarkable performance at the Vancouver Sun Run 2025. Representing young athletes from across the region, Exceleration fielded 87 participants in the 10K and 2.5K events and claimed the Fastest Youth Team title. Looking ahead to 2026, Exceleration is excited to expand its impact by increasing participation to 150 athletes and is actively seeking parent volunteers to help reach new athletes in the community and across various training groups.
The Vancouver Sun Run, one of Canada’s premier 10K road races, took place on Sunday, April 27, 2025, offering a picturesque route through downtown Vancouver’s most iconic locations. Exceleration’s athletes displayed exceptional talent and dedication, finishing strong across both the competitive 10K and the 2.5K Mini Sun Run. The team’s remarkable performance earned them the Fastest Youth Team title for the 2nd year in a row, reflecting the results of months of training and determination.
“Participating in the Vancouver Sun Run was a fantastic experience for our young athletes, and we are incredibly proud of their achievements,” said Team Captain Andrea Mechler. “While we’re thrilled with our results this year, we have big plans for 2026. Our goal is to increase our team to 150 participants, which would put us in the running for a $600 prize. But we can’t do this alone. We’re looking for parent volunteers to help us connect with new athletes, promote our training programs, and continue to grow our Exceleration family.” Please contact volunteer@excelerationtriclub. ca if you would like to help out for next year.
